i'm a bloot black!
i went to the wonderful boot black training camp today put on by Cristo, with the help of Riley. It was so amazing! At GLLA last year i didn't even know what a boot black was, and really didn't understand why it was erotic to my good friend. However, because she was so interested in it, i began to pay more attention, and then when KISS had Cristo come talk about boot blacking, i started to get curious. For me, it is still not really an arousal type thing of itself, although i can now appreciate a nice looking boot. It is the process itself that i find fulfilling. Taking something rundown and scuffed and dirty and turning into a beautiful piece of leather crafting, whether the something is a boot, shoe, purse, or flogger, gives me a sense of accomplishment and satisfies the service submissive in me very nicely. Also, as i have been around more leather care products, i am reminded of the smell when my dad used to polish his shoes, and when he taught me how to polish my first pair of cowboy boots so that they would last. (Granted, i know now he did it wrong, but the memories are still very warm and fuzzy) Maybe the link to my dad is why i still don't get turned on by polishing boots? Hmmmm... I originally wanted to learn more about care of leather toys, and found this whole new world really of exciting and rewarding service i can perform not only for my Master, but for friends and possibly family members as well. There is a chance i might even decide to do this competitively in the future. Another thing i was pleasantly surprised to find, was the camaraderie among bootblacks. This is very appealing to me. This is so exciting and i feel so full of possibility!
